John Yanyshyn began his professional career in 1980 as a photojournalist with the Vancouver Sun Newspaper, and as a contributor to other print media as well as various photographic disciplines.

For the first 15 years he simultaneously operated his commercial studio and split his work between the studio and his photojournalism work. Through these two disciplines, he has developed the skill to react quickly and decisively to a multitude of changing conditions.

John combines a story-telling ability with the technical knowledge required to produce powerful images for a wide range of clients including Commerce, Industry and Government, but not exclusively.

Many of John’s Clients have been with him for 25 years. John has never lost his passion for his work, and continues to use the latest equipment and software available.
